what is the transister used

what are transisters used between IC and MOSFETs. For lower wattage shall we use IRF44 like MOSFETs. and for 500W what is the Ampereage of the 12-0-12 transformer.

ReplyDelete@ madurai chandru: the transistor use is irf3205, this simple circuit diagram can be use to power a small fridge and a TV set with some energy saving bulb, it is a simple inverter circuit for a beginner.

Delete@ constantinescu mihai: the inverter is a transformer base and not chopper or circuit base inverter and the transformer winding is a home made transformer winding formula which i have been using for any inverter winding, if i should start explainning how i wind the transformer it will take a longer time but if you have enough time to experiment this simple circuit diagram i will advice you to use a 12V UPS transformer of about 1KVA, am working on a video on how to wind a home made inverter transformer i will post it when am don with it, thanks

Deletemodurai if you want to build a 500 watts inverter you can still use irf3205 but you can use total of four mosfet two on the right and two on the left side of the transformer, but if you want to use ifrz44 you can use a total of 6 irf mosfet transistor.

ReplyDeletethe transformer winding formula that i use is totally deferent from the winding formula that is cormonly use but at the end same thin is been achieve, so if i start explaining how i wind the transformer number of turns u may not understand, but the gage that i use are gage 20 and gage 12

ReplyDeleteFreeborn, the upper mosfet gates are connected to the positive line, are you sure it's correct??
ReplyDeleteswagatam thanks alot there is a mistake in the diagram, the upper gates is to be connected in-between the 1k resistor and the transistor the same way the lower gates is been connected, thanks for the observation. i will post a better diagram that will help beginners.

you can use C945 and the upper MOSFET gates is to be connected to the collector of the C945 and not at the positive line please take note.

but, I have question on use placement of 470 pot. It has 3 pin, 1 at back and other 1 at front. which of them goes to PIN 1, 2 and 3 of the IC4047.

ReplyDeleteI want to make a 800-1000w transformer for ips. I have bought all component to make it. here is the list.
CABLE:-
AWS 21 for primary winding,
AWS 12 for secondary winding,
CORE:-
4.5 inch
FORMER:-
3.05"/7.747c.m.
1.6"/4.064c.m.
The transformer is make by 12-0-12V secondry and 0/N-140-220-260V
Plz help me to find out how many turn will be in primary winding and secondary winding

ReplyDeleteI think the connection diagram of cd 4047 10 and 11 to transistors are tip31 type transistor used. and the equivalent transformer voltage should not 12 it should be rather 24 volt to in order to prevent the ir3205 burning
